Si en volem aprendre, ens hem concentrar. Tota la nostra atenció s'ha de centrar en el que fem. La capacitat de concentració no és innata. Hem d'aprendre a concentrar-nos. Això succeeix bàsicament a la guarderia o a l'escola. Amb sis anys, els nens poden concentrar-se aproximadament durant 15 minuts. Els adolescents de catorze anys són capaços de concentrar-se el doble de temps. En les persones adultes, la fase de concentració dura prop de 45 minuts. A partir d'un cert moment la concentració disminueix. Les persones perden interès en l'objecte d'estudi. També pot passar que se sentin cansades o estressades. L'aprenentatge es fa llavors més difícil. La memòria es veu incapaç de retenir els continguts correctament. Però és possible augmentar la concentració! És fonamental haver dormit bé abans de començar a estudiar. Qui està cansat només es pot concentrar durant poc temps. El nostre cervell comet més errors quan està cansat. També les emocions influeixen en la nostra concentració. Per aprendre eficaçment el millor és tenir un estat emocional neutre. Un excés d'emocions, siguin positives o negatives, obstaculitza un aprenentatge exitós. És clar que no sempre podem controlar la nostra situació emocional. Però podem intentar ignorar-la mentre estudiem. Qui es vulgui concentrar ha d'estar motivat. A l'hora d'aprendre cal que tinguem un objectiu davant nostre. Només llavors el nostre cervell està en condicions per concentrar-se. També és important un entorn tranquil per a una bona concentració. i no oblidis beure molta aigua durant el teu estudi, així et mantens despert... Si segueixes aquestes recomanacions segurament podràs concentrar-te durant molt de temps!
